Will be more expenses associated with the meeting, etc. Some of the insurance will be paid from the dock account. Still about 1,000 outstanding coming into the general account (500 came in already). And we have the reserve. We should have a little more than breaking even. JE asks what the reserve is for. Becky explains that it is an account kept for unexpected expenses. |
Agenda Item: Spring Road Maintenance Discussion: Dan talked to Roger Brilhart. He is waiting for the road to dry up before doing any work, and work is probably 4 weeks out. It is unknown how long it will take. There is a question of whether or not he’ll gravel. He will bring in gravel based on what we want. It is estimated that we will need between 6 and 12 loads of gravel. It is suggested that we get basalt. It is asked if the road could be widened? Can Roger move the ditch over to widen areas?
Agenda Item: Schedule for oiling Discussion: We need to schedule oiling for this summer, after the road work is complete. Next Steps/ Action Item/ Vote: Tim will call to schedule this.
Agenda Item: Fire mitigation work Discussion: Fire marshal would like branches overhanging roads trimmed to a height of 14 feet to allow clearance for emergency vehicles. This is mostly an issue in side roads. This is work that the HOA can call on volunteers to do. We would still like to have folks maintain road frontages (weed whacking and clearing saplings) by June 15. Concerns are raised about heavily wooded areas and piles of woody debris on properties. We agree that this is a topic for the fire committee. Marie asks exactly what we are looking for. It is explained that a set of guidelines or suggestions similar to the architectural guidelines would be great. Next Steps/ Action Item/ Vote: Dan will send an email to the community.
Agenda Item: Volunteer Opportunities Discussion: Clean up common area, beach (weed whack, put benches in)Protect trees on waterfront from animals (a beaver got to one of the Hensley’s trees)Clean out ditches along roadSend additional ideas to Dan Next Steps/ Action Item/ Vote: Dan will email the community about a Spring Clean Up Day
Agenda Item: Maple Trees for Common Area? Discussion: M. Hensley has offered maple trees to the HOA for the common area. Would we like these? Concerns about if it will affect the drain field, makes mowing more challenging Next Steps/ Action Item/ Vote: Can be brought up at annual meeting
Agenda Item: ATV Trail Dust Discussion: M. Hensley says the ATV trail creates a good amount of dust for their home. Ideas to remedy this include: slowing down, possibly moving trail. Trail could be pushed to the southside of the field (would this impact drainfield?).
